The tournament
A tournament is a short competition with a bracket and a single winner. Run one on its own or attach it to a ladder so it counts toward ratings.
Free for up to 5 participants. No credit card needed.

How it works
- 1
Add participants
Pick who is in. Stegen generates the bracket for you, with byes handled automatically when the count is uneven.
- 2
Report each match
Either player reports the result and the winner advances. Everyone can follow the bracket live on their phone.
- 3
Hand out the trophy
The winner earns a tournament badge, and tournament wins add up toward milestone achievements over time.
Why Stegen
Standalone or ladder-linked
Link a tournament to a ladder and match results feed the shared ELO rating. Or keep it separate for a one-off event.
Works for any 1v1 activity
Table tennis, chess, darts, pool, FIFA. If two people can play, you can run a cup.
Great for kick-offs
A one-day cup is the easiest way to launch a ladder. Everyone meets, plays, and already has a rating when the season starts.
